Cathy Leonard

Cathy Leonard, 66, of Mahomet, died at home on Sept. 3, 2024 with her beloved husband by her side. 

There will be a visitation on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 1-2 pm at Blair-Owens Funeral Home, 102 E Dunbar, Mahomet. The funeral service will begin at 2pm at the funeral home. 

Cathy was born on Nov 25, 1957 in Urbana, a daughter of Marshall and Frances Browder. She married Charles "Chuck" Leonard and together they celebrated over 30 year. 

She is survived by her husband, Chuck; 2 step-daughters, Laura Fitch of Champaign and Vicki Leonard of Urbana; 5 grandchildren, Kayla, Matt, Cody, Treyton and Anisha; 1 great granddaughter, Claire and many nieces and nephews. 

Cathy was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Wissmiller; 1 sister and 2 brothers. 

She worked at First School in Mahomet and later at Carle Hospital as a dietitian for over 20 years. Cathy was a huge Chicago Bears fan and she never missed a game. Before her health failed she loved to go hunting, fishing and camping with Chuck and their dogs.
