Cathy Dubson Obituary
Cathy L. Dubson, 57, of Monticello, passed away at 8:37 p.m. on Saturday, February 19th at Carle Hospital in Urbana surrounded by her family.
Visitation for Cathy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23rd at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello, with funeral services immediately following. Interment will be at Monticello Township Cemetery.
She was born September 24, 1953, at Kirby Hospital, to Bradley and Frances Sally Chitwood. She married Timothy D. Dubson on February 20th, 1981 at the First Christian Church of Monticello. He survives.
Also surviving are her son, Caleb B. Dubson (Brett A. Maurer) of Chicago, IL; her brothers, James T. (Anita) Wallace of Wooster, OH; and Stephen C. Chitwood of Louisiana; three nieces, Angie S. (Don L.) Greer of Tolono, IL, Bridget G. (Donnie E.) Johnson of East Enterprise, IN, and Amy M. Chitwood of Champaign, IL; and a great niece and nephew, Jennifer L. and Bradley W. Johnson of East Enterprise, IN.
Cathy was an avid Illini fan, and also enjoyed antiquing, baking, and caring for her much-loved Chihuahuas. She was a cherished wife, mother, aunt, and friend. She valued her family above all else, and will be remembered dearly by many whose lives she touched.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Kirby Hospital Ambulance Service.
