Carolyn Lee Obituary

Carolyn A. Lee, 69, of Monticello, passed away at 9:05 PM, July 17, 2009 at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at the St. Philomena Catholic Church with Fr. Bruce Lopez officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with a rosary service at 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Carol was born on October 24, 1939 in Perry County, IN the daughter of Clarence and Mildred (Heierman) Lasher. She married John P. "Jack" Lee on June 16, 1973 in Vincennes, IN.
Surviving are her husband; John "Jack" Lee of Monticello, children; Amy B. (John) Musto of Dayton, OH, John Patrick (Jennifer) Lee of Mattoon, Anna (Dan) Barham of Chatham, Erin (Deron) Perkins of Springfield, and Bridget (George) Lee-Calfas of Urbana, grandchildren; Madeline and James Musto, Annabelle and Beatrice Lee, Ryan, Connor, and Jack Barham, Riley and Ella Perkins, and Cecilia Calfas, and siblings; Delores Schoenbachler, Joann Seibert, Evelyn Orth, Virginia Seibert, Sharon Staley, Valada Howard, Tom Lasher, Tony Lasher, Cecil Lasher, and Janet Morris. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother (Ray Lasher) and 1 sister (Anita Lasher).
Carol was a school teacher and home day care provider. She was an active member of the St. Philomena Catholic Church and the church choir. Carol's life was devoted to service as a wife, mother, grandmother, school teacher, and day care provider.
Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home or the St. Philomena Catholic Church.
