Caroline Rose Obituary
Caroline Burchard Seymour Rose, 89, of Monticello, died at 6:50 PM, December 30, 2010 at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
Caroline's request was to have no visitation or memorial service, rather to have a private family burial. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Caroline was born November 13, 1921 in Dover, FL the daughter of Herman E. and Louise (Dummer) Burchard. She married Curtis T. Seymour, Jr. on August 10, 1941. He died September 22, 1972. She then married Ralph Rose, Jr. on September 9, 1988 in Chicago. He died May 28, 2010.
Survivors include her step children; William R. (Karen) Rose of Dallas, TX and Jennifer Wright of Bloomington, 2 step grandsons; Joshua Wright and Andy Wright, brother-in-law; Gene (Betty) Rose of Champaign, and a cousin Bob (Luan) Loudenback of Decatur . She was preceded in death by her parents and both husbands.
Caroline was a retired secretary for F.M.H.A. She was a founding member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Monticello.
Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church of Monticello.
