Carlene Slack Obituary
Carlene F. Slack, 68, of Monticello, passed away at 1:10 PM, Saturday, October 31, 2009 at Carle Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Andy Heckman officiating. Visitation will be from Noon to 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2009 prior to the service. Interment will be in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Carlene was born October 3, 1941 in Canton, IL the daughter of Carl "Shiek" and Allene (Clark) Wicevich. She married Jerry D. Slack on August 30, 1963 in St. David, IL. He survives.
Also surviving is her son; Chris (Cindy) Slack of Arcola, daughter; Dianne (Tracy) Turner of Monticello, grandchildren; Melissa (Josh) Blackwell, Laura Slack (fianc Bryan Chancellor) and Erin Turner, brother; Tom (Judi Adams) Wicevich of Ridgway, CO. Carlene was preceded in death by her parents.
Before retiring Carlene worked in clerical positions for Americana, Bement School Districts, and State Farm Insurance. Carlene graduated from Lewistown High School. Carlene was an avid Cubs fan, Illini fan and also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Memorials may be made to Carle Hospice.
