Carey Clark Obituary
Carey P. Peg Clark, 69, of Monticello, passed away at 8:45 AM, Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Carle Hospital, Urbana.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 AM, Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Peg was born November 28, 1941 in Lewisburg, KY the daughter of Russell K. and Lydia L. (Duncan) Westray. She married Sam Clark on August 28, 1960 in Bement.
Survivors include her daughters; Cindy Clark (Chris) McNeilly of Hudson and Angela B. Clark (Todd) Romine of Tuscola, 4 grandchildren; Carey and Kelsey McNeilly and Molly and Dalton Romine, and sister; Pat Westray Klatt of Columbia, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Peg worked as a school secretary at the Cisco Grade School, she was a retired rural mail carrier in Mahomet, and also worked as a florist at the County Market in Monticello. Peg enjoyed decorating her home along with working in her yard and garden and also loved her cat Gabriel.
Our dear mother, grandmother, and sister lived to the fullest every moment given her by her lord, letting her loved ones know each day how much they meant to her, in word, in deed, in thought, and in prayer. She made all things beautiful, and knowing her meant having no want for love. She will be remembered for her compassion, generosity, selflessness, loyalty, and care.
Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Animal Shelter.
