Bruce Cresap Obituary

Robert Bruce Cresap, 66, of White Heath, IL, died at Provena Hospital, Urbana, on May 26, 2011. He was born July 3, 1944 in Burnham Hospital, Champaign to Frances Daniels Cresap and Robert Franklin Cresap. He married Judy Hettinger on January 2, 1965. They have 3 children; Stephanie Leischner, Stacey Mitsdarffer, and William (Liz) Cresap, and 7 grandchildren; Ryan and Riley Mitsdarffer, Jed and Abbey Leischner, Colton, Ben, and Sarah Cresap. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Bruce Cresap was a farmer in Champaign County on the family Centennial farm for all his life and he raised purebred Angus cattle. He loved farming, his IH Tractors, and his family. He was a member of the I & I Antique Tractor and Gas Engine Club, Central IL Chapter 10 International Harvesters Collectors, American Angus Association, Illinois Angus Association and the Seymour United Methodist Church. He served on the board of Chapter 10 IH club and the Camp Creek and Knox Cresap drainage districts. He was very active at the Annual Historic Farm Days at Penfield, IL and the Half Century of Progress at Rantoul, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Chapter 10 International Harvesters Collectors Club or the Seymour Fire Department.
Funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Fairchild officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 PM, Monday, May 30, 2011 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home.
