Blume E Mulligan

Blume E. Mulligan, 96, of Champaign, died on the morning of Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. 

There will be a visitation on Tuesday, March 10, from 12-1pm at Owens Funeral Home, 101 N. Elm St, Champaign. The funeral service will begin at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, Champaign. 

Blume was born on July 12,1923 in Champaign ,the daughter of Frank and Esther (Hottel) Kreager. Her mother preceded her in death in 1925. Her father later remarried Ella Mae Kreager who helped raise Blume and her brothers and loved them as her own.  She was a graduate of Champaign High. Blume married Robert Mulligan at Holy Cross Catholic Church on September 2, 1943 and together they raised 3 children. Robert preceded her in death in 1974. She was also preceded by her 3 brothers. 

She is survived by her children, Mike (Linda) Mulligan, Minneapolis, Sherry (Gary) Amos of Bushnell, and Rolly Mulligan of Champaign; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Blume was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. She was also an avid U of I sports fan.
