Beverly La June Curry

Beverly La June Curry, 85, of Monticello, died at 7:35 AM, May 20, 2010 at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 23, 2010 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Dalrymple officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.
June was born December 31, 1924 in Monticello the daughter of Harry and Etha (Petty) Fought. She married Oscar J. Curry on January 10, 1946 in Urbana.
Survivors include her daughters; Connie "Sunny" (John) Jay of Mahomet, Bonnie Lou (Cecil) Harriss of Columbia, and Carol Lynne (Russ) Lake of Champaign, 8 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, brother; James (Nellie) Fought of Tombstone, AZ, sisters; Phyllis Shaw of Greenville, TX, Gladys Peck of Greenville, TX, Patricia McCormick of Midland, TX and sister-in-law' Josie Fought of Tombstone, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 brother.
June was a homemaker. She was a 60 year member of the Monticello United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, Monticello Lioness, Champaign County Sportsman Club, and the Yankee Ridge Clippers.
Memorials may be made to the Piatt County Nursing Home Halcyon Unit.
