Betty J. Warner, 87, of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at the Piatt County Nursing Home, Monticello.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011, at the First Presbyterian Church, Monticello with Rev. Tim Bauler officiating. Interment will be held in the Monticello Township Cemetery with Mackey-Wright Funeral Home handling the arrangements.
Betty was born June 3, 1924 in Cicero, IL the daughter of Delbert and Mabel (Hammond) Conner. She married Dale Warner on July 4, 1944 in Ipava, IL.
Surviving are her husband; Dale Warner of Monticello, her children; Kathy (Ronald) Miller of Monticello and Jim (Marilyn) Warner of Creal Springs, IL, 4 grandchildren; Justin, Nicholas, and Clinton Warner, and Abbie Miller, 2 great grandsons; Jeremiah and Samuel Warner, 2 great granddaughters; Allison and Molly Miller-Weber, and a sister; Sue Hayes of Ipava, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Betty retired as a Lab Technician from Sterling Drug in Monticello. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Monticello, Piatt County Home Extension, and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Betty enjoyed sewing, crafts, square dancing, traveling, and cooking.
