Betty H. Norfleet

Betty H. Norfleet , age 71, of Monticello, Ill., died Wednesday, September 27, 2006, at Carle Hospital in Urbana, Ill.

Memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 30, 2006 at the Monticello United Methodist Church 212 S. Independence St. in Monticello, with Rev. Michael Eischen officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, September 29, 2006 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Monticello United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Norfleet was born February 3, 1935 in Clinton, Ill. the daughter of Leonard and Nancy (Maltby) Newberry. She married Ed Norfleet April 10, 1954 in Hernandez, Mississippi. He survives.

Also surviving are Daughter; Penny Carpenter of Monticello, Ill., Sons; Phil Norfleet of Monticello, Ill., Paul Norfleet of Atwood, Ill. and 3 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her Parents and 1 Sister.

Mrs. Norfleet was the former owner of the Sears store in Monticello and later retired as a Personnel Officer from the University of Illinois. She was a member of the Monticello United Methodist Church, The Monticello Golf Club, and Kirby Hospital Auxiliary.
