Betty C. McMullen, 81, of Monticello, passed away at 9:30 AM, August 4, 2009 at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
Private family services will be held with Mackey-Wright Funeral Home handling the arrangements. Interment will be held in Monticello Township Cemetery.
Betty was born on November 24, 1927 in Monticello the daughter of Frank K. and Ella S. (Sebens) Cresap. She married Bard "Barney" McMullen, Jr. on December 17, 1948 in Monticello. He passed away on August 2, 1987.
Surviving is her daughter; Betsy A. (Mike)Kleiss of Champaign, granddaughter; Kelli Maureen (Eric) Kleiss-Fulkerson, sister; Fran Shafer of Monticello, niece; Billie Sue Robbins of Champaign, and lifelong friend Norma Booty of Monticello. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Betty was a retired Administrative Aide from the University of Illinois was a member of the Red Hats Society.
Memorials may be made to the Monticello Faith-in-Action.
