Betty Jo Looney

Betty Jo Looney, 86, of Monticello, passed away at 2:23 AM, Sunday, December 25, 2011, at her residence.
Betty was born October 27, 1925 in Fort Still, OK the daughter of Floyd and Pearl (Smith) Anderson. She married Raymond Henry Looney on May 1, 1948 in Tulsa, OK. He passed away on August 9, 1992.
Surviving is her son; Randy Looney of Monticello, IL, her daughter; Linda (Jim) Ayers of Monticello, IL, 3 grandchildren; Leslie Patrick, Jeff Ayers, and Phillip Looney, 3 great grandchildren; Rianne and Clayton Ayers, and Olivia Patrick, and a brother; Don (Lena) Anderson of Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Betty was a retired Methodist Minister. She was a member of the Executive Womens International and Quota International. Betty was active in both the Monticello United Methodist Church and the Christ United Methodist Church in Tulsa, OK where she was in charge of the singles ministry. She also taught a bible study class at Tatman Village, Monticello and the Fellowship Class at the Monticello United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Monticello United Methodist Church Building Fund.
