Barbara Roberts

Barbara Roberts, 84, of Champaign died at 6:30 am on Saturday, Dec 3, 2022 at Illini Heritage Nursing and Rehab, Champaign.

The visitation will be on Wednesday, Dec 7 from 9-10 am at Owens Funeral Home, 101 N. Elm St, Champaign. The funeral service will begin at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Urbana.

Barbara was born on July 5, 1938 in Mexico, MO to Stanley and Arlene (Taylor) Carter. She married Forrest Roberts on Sept. 16, 1954 in Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 27, 2019.

Survivors include 3 sons, Rick (Colleen), Terry and Johnny; 1 sister, Della and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Barbara drove a school bus for many years, earning several awards. In her spare time, she liked to bowl and spend time with her family.
