B. Marie Bushell, age 95 of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the Piatt County Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P. M. Saturday, September 29, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Dalrymple and Rev. Steve Ingram officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at the Monticello Township Cemetery.
Marie was born August 1, 1912 in Camargo, IL, the daughter of Charles Edward and Mary Ella (Beebe) Riley. She married Ervin L. Pete Bushell on November 28, 1929 in Atwood, IL.
Surviving are her daughters: Joy Secrist and Pauline Stone both of Monticello, son: Ervin Jack Bushell of Comstock Park, MI, 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren and sister: Louise Shaw of Bradley, IL.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband, a son (Robert Bob Bushell), 2 grandchildren and one brother.
Marie was the former owner and operator of Lyons Produce in Monticello and a retired grocer. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Monticello and the VFW Womens Auxiliary. Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, watching TV, flowers, and putting together puzzles.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Monticello.
