Arthur 'Art' Ehrlich, Jr., of Mahomet passed away on Saturday February 8 at Goldwater Care in Gibson City. Art was born a son of Arthur and Henrietta (Bush) Ehrlich on April 28, 1944 in Chicago, IL. He married Judith Kennel on July 9, 1977.
Survivors include: his wife, Judith of Mahomet; one son, Andrew (Ashtyn) Ehrlich of Mahomet and two grand daughters, Amberlyn and Alexandra.
Art was a graduate of Chicago Graphic Arts Institute and worked at Original Smith Printing in Bloomington, Illinois for 17 years and retired as Safety and Environmental Coordinator. Upon retirement, he worked for Davison-Fulton Funeral Home in Peoria, IL for 6 years. Art was a proud Veteran and served in the U.S. Army Reserve for 29 years, and was First Sergeant for 3 different companies. He was a graduate of the U.S. Army Senior Intelligence School and U.S. Army Senior Chemical School.
Art was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Mahomet, Knights of Columbus Council #891 and Mahomet American Legion Post #1015. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and loved fishing.

There will be a visitation from 9:00-10:00am on Thursday February 13 at Blair-Owens Funeral Home (102 E. Dunbar) in Mahomet. The funeral mass will follow at 10:30 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church (501 W. State St.) in Mahomet, with Rev. Fr. Joseph Hogan officiating. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Champaign. Military burial rites will be accorded by Mahomet American Legion Post #1015.
