Arlene S. Potter, age 100, of Monticello, Ill., died Monday, January 8, 2007, at Kirby Hospital in Monticello, IL.
Private family graveside services will be held at Monticello Township Cemetery in Monticello, IL, with Pastor Debra Owens officiating. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello is handling the arrangements.
Mrs. Potter was born August 3, 1906 in Pentwater, MI. the daughter of Paul and Anna (Peterson) Pearson. She married Richard N. Potter on April 5, 1930 in Pentwater, MI. He passed away June 8, 1991.
Surviving are daughters Jane Bonham of Monticello, IL. and Mary Kay Jens of Lapeer, MI., 3 grandchildren; Greg Bonham of Decatur, IL., Laurie Taylor of Moline, IL., and Rebecca Moody of Detroit, MI., and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and 1 Brother.
Mrs. Potter was a housewife. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello and AARP. She graduated from Pentwater High School and from Michigan State College.
Memorial contribution may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Monticello or the Bement Health Care Center.
