Anthony Einhorn Obituary

Anthony L. Tony Einhorn, age 54, of Bement, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Kirby Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 30, 2007 at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 322 S. Macon in Bement with Fr. Pat DeMuelemeester officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, November 29, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at St. Michaels Catholic Church Hall in Bement. A Prayer Service will be at 4:30 PM prior to the visitation. Internment will be at the Bement Township Cemetery. Mackey-Wright Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Tony was born July 12, 1953 in Effingham the son of Louis Edward and Rosella (Meinhart) Einhorn. He married Fran Bentley on March 2, 1974 in Bement.

Surviving is his wife Fran Einhorn of Bement; Sons: John Einhorn of Paragould, AR and 2nd Lt. Matt Einhorn of Baumburg, Germany; daughters: Laura (Mark) Meyer of Arcola and Jenny Einhorn of Monticello; Granddaughter: Claire Meyer of Arcola; Brother: Jack Laley of Maryland Heights, MO; sisters: Beck Salyers of Wheeler and Barb Milton of Monticello; Step-Father: Carl (Pat) Laley of Bement; Mother-in-law: Eva Bentley of Bement and several nieces and nephews.

Tony was preceded in death by his parents and father -in-law (Duane Bentley).

Tony was a Maintenance Supervisor at Greenview Landscaping Company in Champaign. He graduated from Bement High School in 1971 and recieved an Ag Degree from Parkland College. Tony was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Bement, Sons of the American Legion, Albert Park Post #620 and the American Riffelmans Association. He was a former Bement School Board member and longtime little league coach. Tony was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He never knew a stranger and always had a smile on his face.

Memorials may be made to the Bement EMT, St. Michaels Catholic Church or the family.
