Mrs. Anna M. Weddle, age 82, of Monticello, Ill., died Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Carle Arbours in Savoy, Ill.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at the Church of the Nazarene 301 W. Wilson St. in Monticello. Visitation will be 6:30 to 8:30 PM, Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home in Monticello. Interment will be in the Monticello Township Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Monticello Church of the Nazarene, Alzheimer's Association, or an organization of the Donors Choice.
Mrs. Weddle was born June 5, 1924 in Greencastle, IN. the daughter of David and Eva (Anderson) Garland. She married Edward Weddle on August 5, 1940. He passed away on September 14, 1990.
To this union was born Daughters; Rita (Dave) Hill of South Haven, MS., Lea (John) Schmidt of Mahomet, IL., Cindy Ponder of Champaign, IL., Debby (Claude) Cody of Crawfordsville, IN., Marcy (Duane) Thompson of Atwood, IL., Sue (Dave) Smith of Winchester, IL.. Sons; Frank E. (Sharon) Weddle of Monticello, IL., Tony (Jill) Weddle of Wallace, N.C., and Wiley (Debby) Weddle of Browning, IL. Also surviving are brothers; Vearl J. Garland of Farmer City, IL., Everett Garland of Collierville, TN., sister; June Webber of Indianapolis, IN., 26 Grandchildren and 32 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 daughter, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
Mrs. Weddle was a member of the Monticello Church of the Nazarene since 1942. She was the recipient of Distinguished Service Award from the General Church of the Nazarene. She was a participant in the Work and Witness Teams of the Nazarene Church to Albuquerque, N.M. and Dominican Republic. She was a member of the Church Board and was a Sunday School teacher for 40 years. Mrs. Weddle was also involved with Private Home Health Care and Meals on Wheels.
