Alvie Whitely

Alvie Donald Donnie Whitely, age 61, of Monticello, passed away Monday, October 1, 2007 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the Calvary Baptist Church of Monticello with Rev. Jerry Parmley officiating. Visitation will be from 7:00-9:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home. Interment will be held at the Bement Township Cemetery.
Donnie was born December 29, 1945 in Monticello, the son of Jesse and Dorothy Irene (Walker) Whitely.
Surviving are his brothers: Gary Whitely of Champaign and Darrell Whitely of Urbana, sisters: Linda White of Monticello, Carolyn Whitely and June Gadbury both of Urbana, companion: Birdie Hawkins, several nieces and nephews, and his dog Buddy Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.
Donnie worked with his lawn service and was a die hard Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and NASCAR fan.
Memorials may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church of Monticello or donors choice.
