Adele V. Perkins

Adele Perkins, 96, of Mahomet, died at 9:43pm on April 5, 2023 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

There will be a graveside funeral service at 10:00 on Monday, April 10 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Champaign.  Deacon John Leonard will officiate.  

Adele was born on May 9, 1926 in LaSalle, IL, a daughter of Edward and Tillie Carr.  She married John Perkins on February 26, 1945 in LaSalle.  He died on April 11, 2020.  

Survivors include: one daughter, Nancy (Marty) Williams of Mahomet and one son, Mike (Carisa) Perkins of Urbana; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, one brother and four sisters.  

Adele always took great pride in her family and enjoyed being with them, especially the babies.  

Adele and her husband are members of both St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Urbana and St. Boniface in Seymour. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and have visited Hawaii, England, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, France, Hong Kong and Canada and have driven to Alaska twice.
