Vivian Moore-Nelson

Vivian 'Vicky' Moore-Nelson, 90, of Champaign, died at 7:35pm on April 1, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. 

There will be a funeral service at 11:00 on Friday April 5 at Owens Funeral Home (101 N. Elm St.) in Champaign.  The visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign.  

Vivian was born on February 18, 1929 in rural Champaign County on the Moore Farm, a daughter of David and Christine (Keagle) Moore.  She married William Nelson on September 24, 1960 at University Place Christian Church in Champaign.  He survives and resides in Champaign. 

She is also survived by one daughter, Kimberly (Rob) Dalluge of Champaign and one grandson, Robert Dalluge of Champaign.  She is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Moore.

Vicky was a wonderful dancer and enjoyed dancing with her brother, Bob. She also worked locally as a receptionist at WCIA from 1953-1962.  She enjoyed being a home maker for most of her life.  The family would also like to thank their special friends, Teresa Sullivan, Jessie Butts and Brenda Butts for all their loving care.
