Theresa Joan Tempel Strube

Champaign – Theresa Joan Tempel Strube, age 55, of Champaign, died on October 16, 2017 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Theresa was born on September 18, 1962, the daughter of Maurice Charles Tempel and Mary Lou Kite Tempel. She was married to Mark Strube on May 24, 1986.

She was preceded in death by her father, nephew Eric Hefferman, and father-in-law Bob Strube.

Survivors include her husband Mark, her mother; two sisters: Mary (Dan) Mortland and Deb (Bob) Hefferman; brother: Charles (Sandy) Tempel; mother-in-law Bea Strube; brothers-in-law Kurt (Cathy) Strube, Eric Strube, and Dane (Lori) Strube; five nephews, four nieces, 12 great-nieces/nephews, and her beloved dog, Lucy.

She was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and was employed at Health Alliance as a Senior Financial Analyst. Before her illness, Theresa and Mark traveled to Italy for their 30th wedding anniversary.

Mark would like to thank the Carle Foundation Hospital ICU 6th floor for their professional and compassionate care shown to the family.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 19th at 12 noon at Owens Funeral Home, 101 North Elm Street, Champaign with a visitation one hour prior to services.
