Roger Morfey, 70, of Seymour, died at 11:00am on May 14 at OSF Medical Center in Urbana. In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be a graveside funeral service at 11:00am on Monday May 21 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Leroy, IL.
Roger was born on June 9, 1947 in Gibson City, a son of Bud and Evelyn (Sarver) Morfey.
Survivors include: one daughter, Tosha (Bert) Strom of Minnesota; three grandchildren, Zack (Mandi) Cooper of Monticello; Brody and Sayla Strom, both of Minnesota; three brothers, Mark (Jennifer) Morfey of Colorado, Darryl (Darlene) Mullvain of Champaign, Arp (Gloria) Morfey of Mansfield; one sister, Norma (Art) Beck of Champaign; several nieces and nephews and many friends; and his Pitt-Bull, Rowdy. Roger also had two very special friends in Magen and Bricen.
Roger enjoyed taking annual vacations to Florida and was a real gear head. Evidenced by his many motorcycles, snowmobiles and cars.
