Richard Rawley Obituary

Richard L. Rawley, 79 of Urbana, died at 5:49pm on February 16, 2018 at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated and no service at this time.

Richard was born at home in Urbana on January 25, 1939 the son of Renos and Laura (Frederick) Rawley. He married Ruth Heintz on February 14, 1960 at the Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church in Urbana. She survives and resides in Urbana. Other survivors include: three sons, Brian (Kathy) Rawley of St. Joseph, Louis Rawley of Philo and Travis Rawley of Urbana; six grandchildern, Dawson, Megan, Gavin, Cody, Jennifer and Heather, three great- grandchildren, Amelia, Aaliyah and Jaylyn; two sisters, Karen Rankin of Gibson City and Phyllis (Orville) Jarrett of Urbana.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Timmy and Troy Rawley and one sister, Mary Lou McPheters.

Richard was a proud veteran and served his country in the Marine Corps from 1958-1963. Richard will be greatly missed by many and remembered as a loving husband and father.
