Orville Frick

Orville E. Frick, 88, of Mahomet died Friday, October 6, 2017 at Bridle Brook Assisted Living.

Visitation will be from 5-7pm on Monday, Oct. 9) at Blair Owens Funeral Home (102 E Dunbar, Mahomet). Funeral Services will be at 10 am on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at Grace Church (800 W. Oak St, Mahomet). Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, Champaign.

He was born in Sidney to Oscar and Mabel Frick on October 4, 1929. He married LaGreeta Ward on November 4, 1951. She preceded him in death. He later married Connie Turner on November 8, 1987. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughters, Cheryl(Greg) Burk, Brenda(Mark) White, Theresa(Mark) Berry of Mahomet, and sons, Mike(Sharon)Frick of Champaign and Steve(Tina) Frick of Mansfield; Stepsons, Gary(Gena) Turner of Reno, Nevada and Kevin(Kathy) Turner of Goose Creek, S.C.; 14 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Waneta McDaniel of Sullivan and Kenneth(Joy) Frick of Sidney.

Orville served in the Army during the Korean War. He retired from the U.S Postal Service, and was a member of Grace Church Mahomet. He was a devoted family man, enjoyed square dancing, camping, western movies and tinkering in the garage.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Grace Church, or an organization of the donor’s choice.
