Myron Shelby Isaac, 73, of Dewey, formerly of Mahomet, died on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 26 from 10-12 pm at Blair-Owens Funeral Home, 102 E. Dunbar, Mahomet. The funeral service will begin at 12 noon, at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow at Jersey Cemetery, Dewey.
Myron was born on June 25, 1945 in Champaign, a son of John and Effie 'Lavada' (Hewerdine) Isaac. He married Malinda Rice in Danville on Aug. 27, 1970 and together they raised 2 children. He is survived by his loving wife; a daughter, Jenny (David) Diorio of Dewey and Seth (Andrea) Isaac of Mahomet; 5 grandchildren, Hayley, Tanner, Conner and Tucker Diorio and Natalie Isaac; 1 sister, Mary Hennigh of Fisher and 3 brothers, Miles (Wanda), Monte (Janet) and Mark (Anna) Isaac, all of Mahomet. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Candace Ruggles.
Myron was the owner and operator of a construction and excavating business, Myron Isaac Construction, from 1975 until his retirement in 2016. He was a member of the Sons of the Amvets Post 52, Fisher. He was on the Village board of Mahomet for 23 years and was very proud to serve his community.
Myron was a man who worked hard and was successful at what he did. He cherished and loved his family and was extremely proud of his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
