Michael Lowe Obituary

Michael Moore Lowe, 78, of Mahomet died on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Michael was born on Oct. 10, 1939 in Corpus Christie, TX to Joseph William and Virginia Elizabeth (nee Moore) Lowe. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include 4 children; Gerald Lawson and Karen (Mark) Pape, both of Springfield, David (Lyndi) Lowe of Pawnee and Michael Thomas Lowe of Huntsville, AL; 4 granddaughters, Madison Lowe, Alexandria and Margaret Pape and Yazi Lowe; 3 sisters, Debbie Palkot of TX, Josephine Barry of CA and Melinda Dirksmeyer of Alton and 1 brother, Stephen Lowe of CA.

Michael honorably served in the U.S. Army in the 101st Airborne Division. After his military service he worked at Clifford Jacobs for over 30 years, earning retirement.

Michael had a passion for photography. He always had a camera around his neck and had a strong appreciation for antique cameras. He was also an avid woodworker and collected antique and modern woodworking tools.
