Erma "Diane" Brandon

Erma Diane Brandon, 72, of Mahomet died at 4:26 p.m. Sept. 20, 2018, at OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana.

There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at Blair-Owens Funeral Home (102 E. Dunbar) in Mahomet. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at River Valley Church of Christ in Fisher, with the Rev. Andy Baker officiating. Burial will be at Shiloh Cemetery in Mahomet.

Diane was born on March 26, 1946, in Bloomington, to Wiley and Catherine Williams. She married Harold Brandon on Dec. 11, 1964, at a ceremony at the Champaign County Courthouse.

Survivors include her husband, Harold of Mahomet; daughter, Deanna Sue Prospal of Mahomet; three grandchildren, Heather, Joshua and Caulyn; eight great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Noah, Zariah, Kaile, Aleah, Haiden, Leiyana and Ashton.

Diane was preceded in death by one son, Dana Brandon and one granddaughter, Hannah.  

Diane was always very artistic and creative and enjoyed both her flower garden and painting. She was also a people person and loved her family and friends.
