Catherine Jeanette Dyson

Champaign - Catherine J. Dyson, 84, of Champaign, passed away Feb. 25, 2018.

Catherine was born Dec. 26, 1933, in Shannon Georgia. She married Willard E. Dyson on March 4, 1977.

Catherine is survived by her husband, Willard E. Dyson of Champaign; daughters Melody Simpson of Champaign and Dee Culpepper Parker of Cartersville, Georgia; Sons Millard Moody (Nancy), John Moody of Champaign, Robert Moody (Karen) of Thomasboro; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her son James Stevens.

She retired after many years at Humko, and loved spending time with her dogs, playing bingo, and eating out.

A graveside service will be on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 1pm at Woodlawn Cemetery. Pastor Lutz Braunig will officiate.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Champaign County Humane Society, 1911 East Main Street, Urbana, IL 61802.
