Betty Norman

Betty Norman, 92, of White Heath died at 8:58am on January 9, 2018 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana.

Owens Funeral Home will conduct a graveside funeral service at Grandview Memorial Gardens at 12:00 on Friday January 12. According to her wishes, there will be no visitation.

Betty was born July 20, 1925 in Champaign. She is survived by 5 children: Dan Norman of White Heath; Paul (Terri) Norman of Monticello; Karen (Jim) Terry of Champaign; Kim (Jeff) Barr of White Heath; Becky Norman of Weldon; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Betty was a home maker and loved both country music and cats. She was known to frequent Goodwill and garage sales. She also enjoyed getting together with her special friends, JoAnn Tieman and Bonnie Anderson. The girls enjoyed going to church and then going to lunch together. Mom loved her family and everyone she would meet.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Norman; her parents, Robert Sr and Ruth Tempel; 2 brothers, Haines and Robert Jr and a grandson, Josh Norman.
