William Link

William J. Link, born June 24, 1938, died peacefully on Wednesday (July 19, 2017) from complications of metastatic brain cancer. He was 79.

He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Link (Fletcher).

A Funeral Mass will be at noon Monday, July 24, at Emmanuel Memorial Episcopal Church, 208 W. University Ave., Champaign, with the visitation two hours prior to the service (10 a.m. to noon). Burial will be at Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta immediately following the Mass.

Bill was born in Cincinnati, the son of A. Willis and Theresa Link. He was the youngest of five children and last surviving. He is survived by his sons, Matt Link (wife Meredith; grandsons Ridge and Hatch) of Bloomington, Ind., and Tony Link (wife Joanne; granddaughters Olivia and Jaima) of Pendleton, Ind.

Bill semi-retired from being a pharmacist 12 years ago, but still worked part time doing what he loved — helping others. He was an avid gardener, loved the outdoors, traveling and being a father and grandfather.
